**Notes for Base Force:
RIGEL served as the tender for out of commission destroyers at Sand Diego and as the receiving ship at that port.
Captain McCandless had additional duty as Commander, Destroyers Out of Commission, San Diego and Commander, Receiving Ship, San Diego.
Assignment of CHEROKEE, LARAMIE, MATTOLE, McKEAN, SEMINOLE, and STRINGHAM will occur when directed by Chief of Naval Operations.
Classification of McKEAN and STRINGHAM to be changed to APD.
